My buddy and I are going to hit the lake tonight and I was hoping to get some responses before I head out around 6(after work) What is biting and what is making them bite? Any info would help. Thanks a bunch.

I love how anytime Taylorsville is brought up I see one of these comments. I actually think its this guy that always posts them. Ive never been much of a fan myself but I will say that I think this is one of the better years ive seen Taylorsville produce in a while. Can't speak for everyone else but between me and my buddy we have boated about 7 or 8 keepers this year, which is about 7 or 8 more than usual.
But I agree, there have been times on that lake when dynamite wouldnt do you anygood!!

Dude, if you think I'm the only one on here that throws that lake under the bus you haven't been a member very long, lol.
Here how about this. When I fish it and the water is above 70 degrees it is a great soft plastic lake. Fish Texas rigs with dark colored worms around cover and even plain jane rock banks and you will catch all the 12 to right at 15 inch bass you want. Topwater can be good at daylight and dark as well. Fish the worms slow. Also a great small jig lake, again balck and blue combo's will get you fish.
Is that better?

I don't really care honestly, I know there are plenty of haters on here. I just noticed you because you have the little baby face, so I always remember you as being one. But nice report on the lake, thats about how I fish every lake.
There are plenty of fish in Taylorsville , big and small . If you want to catch cats its one of the best lakes around . It is full of nice crappie and bluegill . There are plenty of bass in the lake , hybrid and largemouth. I will say it does fish somewhat tough when it comes to largemouth but I have been on lake Guntersville and Okeechobee when you couldn't buy a bite and would of liked a stick of Dynamite. I have had 5 , 6 and 7 pounders out of Tville and know a couple of gentlemen that have had 8 pound fish ( certified scales ) and mounted .....I wont mention any names . There are days when you can catch 8 , 10 ,12 keepers and others that make you think you are the worst angler on earth . Understanding the lake is tuff and going out and wacking on them is one of the most fulfilling things I ever experience on the water . A tuff lake it is without a doubt but it is what it is.............Fishing.

Did you just call me a baby, lol? I don't hate Taylorsville, I just prefer to fish somewhere else. It's a standing joke on this site to bust that lakes chops. It's an awesome catfish lake and if you know how to fish it you can load the boat with whiskers. It gets fished way to hard for bass. The pressure on that little 3 thousand plus acre lake is just crazy. They are there though and those that know how to fish the lake always catch some fish.

I hate taylorsville. Just wanted to throw my 2¢ in. I would rather fish a shallow puddle in a parking lot. Speaking of parking lots, that is what that place is on the weekend. I wouldn't go there if someone else paid for the gas. And yes, I am a hater.

Here's what I think more people should think just like you and all the other taylorsville haters out there. Just do the ones that can catch fish on taylorsville a favor and stay off. Their are plenty of good fish on t-villle lake. I love to see people just hate this lake just wish the skiers did to. Hey if you dont what to pay for gas just come down and pay me just bring a floater and some worms and I will start you off easy on blue gill then work you up to bass..
