Obamacare...........does it bother you that the mandate and penalty are now a TAX??

What is sad about the SCOTUS and their decision today to UPHOLD Obamacare is the following:

The house and senate voted down the Affordable Care Act when the original bill called the penalty a "tax". Then when the SCOTUS started to hear the case, the Solicitor General argued the PENALTY as in fact a tax.

My friends.........a GREAT FRAUD has be perpetrated on the people of the United States. Our elected officials would have NEVER passed the Affordable Care Act had it been called a tax from the beginning.

Obama and the Democrats didn't win anything today.

Americans, Future Americans, and those that fought and DIED for our principals lost....I'm ashamed of the way this bill was shoved down our throat and how the very tenet of HOW to pay for it was changed in the last hour.

this is a huge precedent to be setting.......HUGE.

Federal gubment can tax us for ANYTHING.

Tax me for not eating tofu.
Tax me for not buying a cafe standard car.
Tax me for not putting EPA mandated S.E.A.R 18 furnace in my house.
Tax me for dropping my thermostat to 72 instead of 75.
Tax me for .............

The FEDERAL government did not call it a tax. DID NOT CALL IT A TAX..........

Finally something we can ACTUALLY blame on him.......Roberts was his appointment... :) :)

Actually, after reading the opinion......and what it is based on, I believe Roberts made the right decision.

I still think he chose to change the wording, and by doing so, it changed the dynamics. But from my understanding, since this is now a TAX, and not subjected to the commerce clause, a simple majority in the Senate can shoot it down.

This baby is far from over.........which inherently ***** even more. I want to BE done with it.

It shouldn't even be called ObamaCARE. It should be called ObamaSURANCE.

I don't understand how so many people in this country equate health insurance with health CARE. They are not the same thing.

The existence of health insurance - particularly as supplied by employers - is one of the biggest reasons we're in this mess. You can't solve a problem by adding more of the problem to it.
