I was an avid fisher as a boy ( highschool) but had to give it up as an adult. I am near retirement and started to revive fishing again. I bought a kayak and I am looking for areas to fish it. I am limited in travel time due to family responsibilities. Looking for good locations, and any advice on fishing and setting up my kayak. My first attempt to a bait caster would have kept all you experienced fisthermen in stitches. Thanks and looking forward to replys.
Hi and welcome to the board! I grew up in midwest Ohio (Troy area) and still fish the rivers/streams around there from time to time but unfortunately can't help you out with the waters around Toledo. I hear there's quite a few smallmouth in Lake Erie and St. Clair but I dont' suggest a kayak on those lakes. :D
Truth be told baitcasters give the best of us fits from time to time...hang in there and keep castin!
