I am by no means an expert on the Bible...many of you here are, so I definitely won't take offense if you prove me wrong...but isn't there several references to stoning in the Bible? (For adultery, worshiping other Gods, etc, etc)
I'm not saying that I agree with it. People shouldn't be stoned for things like adultery or practicing whatever religion they choose. I'm a big fan of the bullet between the eyes for things like murder and child molestation, but not stoning a dude to death because he messed with his neighbor's wife.
The punishment needs to fit the crime.
I guess what I'm getting at is hypocrisy.

When was the last time a Christian was STONED to death............

Probably back in Biblical times...
My point really was more towards hypocrisy among Christians. We seem to look at the Bible and on some issues want to be "letter of the law" (ie: gay marriage), but on others take a stance that interprets it differently for changing times (ie: stoning).
We speak out that Gay Marriage is wrong, because the Bible teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman. However, we ignore that the Bible also talks about stoning people to death for adultery or worshiping other Gods (I think), because we don't like that part or don't think it's fair/relevant anymore.
It seems to me like we pick and choose which parts of the book we want to follow.
I'm probably the wrong dude to get into this argument, because I'm just not very educated on religion, so I'll shut my piehole. LOL
But back on original topic...those fundamental Islamic dudes do some crazy Shiite. (How bout that play on words?)
I got stoned a few times in my teenage years and it really wasn't that bad! :)

Exactly! I know we have heard all the peaceful bull about this religion and yet they still do this stuff. This is what we hear about..who knows what else goes on with them.
I once got stoned and had a relationship with woman, who was commiting adultry, but she was also stoned, so I guess we got stoned for commiting adultery.
