Geez the article says the root problem is that they can't deal with kids as individuals?? I actually thought they could? They have to be put in groups?? I guess this is because schools have become daycare for parents who don't get involved. Is their something deeper here??? Are they saying that blacks are more likely to not want to be educated because the home is a fatherless home? Gubment home? Hispanics don't speak the language but still get to go to English schools and bring the whole class down? It takes to much time from the teachers for one or two kids and the rest of the class suffers? So instead of enforcing rules which I assume are already in place to pass classes or graduate based on grades we will break it down to classes/groups of people so everyone passes according to their home life, financial status, intellectual ability or race?
My son teaches special needs children, that are main lined!And he is also a primary teacher.It seems some parents insist on the children being placed with ordinary class mates. Lets face facts, they CANNOT in many cases be on a par with regular pupals. But when it comes to his acheviement evaluation, those kids are graded as equal. That no child left behind bull spit just dosn't make sense. Many of these kids are never going to get more than a 12th grade education. He loves teaching, especially the needs kids, but he knows that no matter what he does, some of these kids are never going to fully employed and able to reach middle class status. Before his wife died, and left him with a 10 year old daughter, he was an exective account manager, traveled all over the country, and abroad.So teaching was a way for him to be home and raise his daughter.Shes going to be a sophmore at Uof Georgia
I was just down there last week. From a statistics standpoint, I can tell you that the number of white children isn't enough to make any conclusions statistically significant. We played a game of spot the American at Disney World to a full 60 minute draw.........
