We went today and was the only boat on the lake. Fished from above Brier Creek down to Conoloway, mostly on main lake. Wind was howling but fish were biting. We caught at least 80 bass today, a few crappie and a few white bass all on crank baits. You had to be in the wind to catch them. We had 7 that would have been keepers with the biggest one being 19"

Yesterday we caught them pretty shallow. We threw crankbaits at them all day that would run between 3 and 7 ft deep. Caught a lot of fish on wind blown flats or shallow wind blown banks with some cover on it. Had one stretch of bank that was 400 yds long that was in the wind and had the sun on it that we caught 30 bass off of in less than 2 hrs. We had to keep our boat in the wind to catch fish which was tough but it was rewarding.

So does anyone have an update for this week at NRL? Hope they're still biting like everyone says they were last weekend as it looks like there are several tourney's this weekend.
Thanks

Fished Nolin yesterday afternoon for a few hours and it was tough. Only caught a few dinks.

What type of tactics did you try?
If it were me, I would try deeper banks early with cranks, 4 inch worms, and a jig in the middle part of the lake. As the day warmed, if the sun is out, I would move to shallower areas and try cranking...
Keep moving from spot to spot... you will run in to them. Move around the lake and check your graph and water temp.
