Butler
They are back boys. With the addition of Rotnei Clarke from Arkansas this team can beat anybody. They run the Tar Heels out of the gym it really wasn't even close, forget about the final score. I would not want to face them in the tourney if they stay healthy, wow they looked awesome last night. Had a 29 point lead at one time and maintained a high teens lead throughout...............dang

This Butler team is no where close to being as good as their teams a couple years back. They got by Marquette on a haily mary and they already lost to a very mediocre Xavier team.
With that said they were on fire from 3 last night and could give anyone in the country problems if they shoot it like that but they are going to be one of those live by the 3 die by the 3 teams this year.
And btw UNC cut it to 6 with a couple minutes to go and had chances to get it to 4 or 3 but didn't.

Butler is gonna be a great team. IN may be the real deal.

UNC didn't cut it to 6 until there were seconds remaining unless I missed something....Butler started playing not to lose and the Tarheels looked like somebody shoved a firecracker up their butt the last 6 minutes....UNC is a lot like UK having lost everything from last season and they're gonna have their bumps in the road and are very young
With that being said I think Butler is one of those teams that could be dangerous in a one and done situation, but they have to make the tourney first....IU might be the real deal, and as much as it pains me being a UK fan, UL is looking scary good to this point....I know they havent played anybody, but theyre quick, big, strong, and deep....Siva makes that team run, and Dieng is playing like an all american....I really dislike UL and will cheer for IU when theyre not playing UK, but I wouldnt mind seeing those two in the final game because I don't think UK has what it takes to get there this year...Having all the teams from our area being pretty good is nice for our area and makes it a lot more fun to bust each others chops when the teams are competitive

Agreed.
IU is for real and UL is really good...UK is not there yet...I'm hoping they can mature enough for a deep run come March, but this year's lack of point guard play is a hamper for sure. Heck, Morehead took them to the woodshed for 30 minutes last night...
Butler is alright and might win a couple if they make it to the dance, but I don't see a Final Four in their future. I don't see one in UK's this year either though.

I just looked at the Butler/UNC play by play and UNC cut it to 6 with 1:02 left and had 2 more chances to get under 6 with :40 some secs left but didn't.
Anyway Butler came back down to earth against Illinios, didn't shoot lights out from 3 which is what they have to do to beat good teams.
And I agree about UL, if they can make some outside shots to go along with their inside game they become scary good.

another heart break?
Pulled for them a couple of years ago, they were good then, better than now.
