Transducer question
I've got a 20ft aluminum Grizzly and I purchased a new gps/fishfinder and was wondering if I could mount it in the bottom of my boat? I know you guys with fiberglass boats do it all the time but was wondering if someonee had firsthand and experiece with it.

Nope........
Depending on the make/model of the finder, here is a place that I know some folks have used to get a shoot thru aluminum transducer.

I'd try calling a alum boat dealler, around your place, see what they recommend, houseboats shoot through there hulls no issue, ( I have one with a 10 year old in dash lowrance) it works fine, I'll follow your post as IM thinking of remounting mine off the trol. mt.

Alumaducer
Google alumaducer. They are high, but that is exactly what they are made to do is shoot through an aluminium hull. There have been a couple fellows on bbcboards.net (Bass Boat Central) in the Xpress forum that have got regular shoot through transducers to work on the aluminium Xpress hull though. May ask in there.
