Hatcher to UK
Stoops just landed a heck of a football player a few minutes ago when he landed James Hatcher of Trinity. Trinity just had four guys sign with D-1 football programs. James Quick (KY Mr. Football this year) to U of L, Ryan White to Vanderbilt, Daylan Dawkins to Purdue and Hatcher to UK.

I'm actually impressed with the class stoops is bringing in.....2-3 years of classes like that and UK might be semi relevant again....I've continued to watch and support UK through the Joker years and its nice to actually have something to look forward to....I'm well aware this year won't be anything spectacular and next year may not be either, but when this class are juniors, there's a chance at a bowl game

I'm very shocked by the 30th or so ranked recruiting class that Stoops has been able to assemble. I am happy for UK and look forward to them getting better. But here's the thing for me................Why, who is Stoops and why are kids suddenly interested in playing for him. YES I know his pedigree and I still don't get it???
Not hatin at all and I wish the best, it just has me scratching my head.....

I think it's a combination of Defensive players wanting to play in his system...he does have fairly high regard for that...and Offensive players wanting to play in the Neal Brown/Texas Tech/Air Raid system...(personally, I think the whole Air Raid thing is kind of gimmicky...and I did in the Mumme days...but if you couple of defensive-minded head coach with it maybe it'll sustain, who knows?)
That, and they worked their asses off recruiting...and are pretty nice guys.
To assemble what he has assembled in 2 months, without ever having coached a game here, and being at KENTUCKY...is akin to Moses parting the Red Sea. I mean, it's Kentucky for God's sake...LOL. A #27 recruiting class on Rivals.com is a shocker for me...and seeing 4-Star kids from Florida, Ohio, and even the home-grown Kentucky kids. Just, wow.
I'm not going to say that we're going to be any kind of force this year, or next year, or the year after that. But, if he can build on this fast start, maybe we've got something here.
Kentucky Football has always been about HOPE...kind of like an Obama campaign.

UK can have Hatcher. He won't make it. You heard it hear first.
