Herrington Lake
Got a chance to get on Herrington today and fished for about 3 hours. The first bass was 19 and 3/4 inch's and the second was a 18 1/2 inch fish. One caught on a crank bait the other on a spinner bait. The water around Dunns Island is muddy at 44 degrees and at Gwinns it starts to clear up a little. The creek behind Gwinns is 46 degrees and stained and the further you go back the cleaner it gets. The 2 fish I caught had big ol guts on them.
Hope this helps.

Great report
Hey Billy,
Great report. I wouldn't have thought that you could have caught anything on the Big H right now......that's what I get for thinking!! :)

According to the sign Gwinns is 6 dollars but I did not see any body and did not see a box for money, so yesterday was FREE and I like free.

I think our club will be going there again even though most of us don't want to because we don't want to pay the higher launch fees. There are too many other lakes that are free to launch or at least cheaper. Sad thing is, my partner and I have done well there.

Many are 10.00 dollars, Bryant's is 6.00. If it wan't for Bryant's I wouldn't fish that lake any more. 10 bucks is ridiculous!! Especially for Herrington when I can drive an extra 15-20 minutes and be at Cedar creek, or the river in multiple spots etc.
