willisburg lake anyone?
Thinking about taking a trip next month to Willisburg lake never fished it....just curious if anyone has had any luck there? And whats the structure like?.....I know its a small lake....is there a motor limit on the lake?....Just wanting to try something different. thanks!

I fished it a few years ago and at that time there was no HP limit. There's a mix of rock banks points and shallow wood/lay downs. Don't recall catching anything to brag about.
I did hear the drought a couple years back took a toll on it.

cool beans thanks.....yea i found out about it when i was doing a little fishing in lawrenceburg and the guy i talked to said he really liked the lake but i haven't heard or known anyone to fish it. maybe i'll go down there for a day....worst of the worst i spend a day exploring a new lake. thanks!

I hae caught several nice largemouths out of willisburg flipping, the only big downfall on the the lake is the boat ramp.It could use alot of work.

No motor restrictions lots of big bass but can be hard to catch. Mostly rock banks and not much visible cover. The ramp isn't the greatest but I've been on a lot worse.

There is a new ramp there off to the side of the old one, seen it the other day when i passed the lake, haven't used it tho and dont know if it is any better. I have caught some nice fish mostly on crankbaits and when water warms up a bit and the topwater bite starts i love throwing a pop-r there! Good luck

need to be careful on that lake it was built for skiers so it can get pretty rough in warm weather

Don't know about it being built for skiing, but I do know that the ramp is fine. Parking could be better. The lake has a lot of good fish in it and a lot of small fish in it. I fish it every year with pondhoppers and try to make other trips there too. Great little lake. I wish it was closer and I would go there more often!!

The ramp is far too steep for my 2wd. Never caught anything worth mentioning but saw some come out of there. I think you should try it out and report back to us.
