I done a search on the subject but, the information was back in 08 so, you guys got any updated suggestions? Not so much brand but, the length of rod, action, handle. I'm not a big tall guy so I was thinking a 6ft. or less because the technique of jerk bait fishing. What ye think?
Baitcasting or spinning? That makes a big difference. If youre talking baitcasting you'll lose a ton of casting distance with a 6' rod. Id go to atleast 6'8 which should work even if youre not tall. You'll be looking for a medium action rod and a lot of guys like throwing them on crankbait rods because of the soft tip
Baitcast most of the time unless using a lighter bait. I've thrown a jerkbait some but never given it much effort. I just didn't feel I was doing it correct or had much confidence...I know it's a tried and true method. I thought a new rod might help.
