Rough

Anyone been fishin at Rough lately? Been cold and nasty but was wondering if any fish are being caught?

Crappie are being caught. Some good numbers have been taken but sorting through several undersized to get keepers.

Bass are picking up as well.

Any idea what bass are being taken on? I figured the nasty cold and rain would make rough look like a huge mud puddle.

Jigs, tubes and cranks have been bringing in a few. mostly small 10-12 inchers.
Next weekend should really pickup if the weather is nice as they are predicting.

Hanging around 45-47 degree's

Took the boat for motor 200 hr service to Fentress at junction 79 and 259. Checked out the 2 closest ramps, Axtel and North Fork. Just dipped the boat at North Fork Ramp to run the engine some. Here's some pics. First one is Axtel, behind the docks and the rest are at North Fork.

Rough is as low as I've ever seen it the only ramps you can use are North Fork and State Park but once you put in at North Fork you'll be staying there you can't make under NF's bridge because a big rock pile is sticking out of the water I went down 2 weeks ago and barely had enough water to put in at State be careful

Yea buddy, RE NF bridge. Was there 4 Mar and I could see stuff sticking out of the water under the bridge

You can make it under the bridge. Just use the trolling motor. You may hit bottom.

Does anyone think the lake will be muddy this weekend after the recent rain and snow? Plan on heading down for this weekend.

There's a tournament taking out of the state ramp this Saturday and I think it's a bad idea but that's just my opinion.
