Bragging on my son
My 17-year-old son has always been fascinated by cars and has had a career goal of becoming a mechanic since he was around 12. He takes automotive technology at the vocational school for the last three hours of the day. Today he found out that he finished third in the state of Kentucky in the AAA/Ford competition. It involved a long test and some hands on stuff but not sure all that he was tested in. He receives a $1000 scholarship to pursue an associates degree in Automotive technology.
He is also taking his ASE certification test in May for Brakes and in electrical systems. Not bad for a kid still in high school.
P.S. He is an honor roll student who does nothing but go to schoo, go to work and hang out with his girlfriend. Never been in trouble in his life. I thank God every day that HE DOESN'T ACT LIKE I DID AT HIS AGE!!!

That is awesome, no wonder you are so proud! It sounds like he is a great young man and will certainly be successful moving forward. Congratulations!

Isn't it great to see a kid do well?My children far exceeded my wildest hopes, and thier children are following the same footprints.

Congrats to the young man. Sounds like it was well earned and deserved. May the Lord of the Wrenches ( and electronics ) bless him in the future.

my guess would be, you have spent time with your son and showed him lots of love. sounds like he is on the right track for sure. stay involved with him, don't let a day go by without telling him you love him. and he will finish well.

Brag on Bro.....Sounds like a fine young man to me...a big WTG

Keep bragging. People need to know that there are kids with their heads on straight and doing good.
