Actually Tim, the Constitution is very CLEAR about a well regulated militia.....yet I have never ONCE read in the Constitution about banning a weapon...ANY WEAPON.
I figured I'd get hammered about posting this.
It is every bit as BAD as the gun ban silliness that is going around the country.
How about we STOP with the silly ****, and actually do something about mental illness.

Pretty high on the list of silly **** is a law that mandates gun ownership. Which is the reason you got hammered on this, not any perceived anti-gun sentiment.
Geez, next thing you know the Federal Government will pass a law requiring every single citizen to have health insurance.
Oops, they already did require me to purchase a product.
There's actually another town in Georgia that already passed mandatory gun ownership. I think it was Kennesaw. Crime has dropped quite a bit.
