Otter Creek
I hope you guys will continue to catch the stocker trout, I am focusing on the smallmouth. The smallies this year are in great health, colorful and chunky. Caught 6 yesterday in 2 hours after work and two of them were pushing the 15 inch range and fat. Btw, I am working at Otter Creek in the booth so if you guys come up and see a fat bald guy with glasses say hello.

Wanted to head out there this weekend but with all the rain I'm assuming it will be blown out.
What flies do you use to target the smallies at OC? I've caught plenty trout but never a smallie out there. I usually use BH buggers and the usual assortment of nymphs.
Thanks.

It is pretty muddy today, but could possibly be okay by Sunday. You can get a recorded message each day telling you the fishing conditions after 7 a.m. by calling 502-942-9854.
This time of year I will throw streamers and about 90% of the time I will be throwing a white Clouser Minnow with a couple of strands of flashabou in them. From about mid-May through the summer I will throw a lot of poppers but that Clouser minnow is always in my box.

Thanks for the info, Tim.
By the way, the number you listed for fishing conditions is disconnected or no linger in service.
