Yes. :-)
Too general a question. Here's my preferences:
Walk the dog: Smallmouth, clear water, still water
Poppers: Largemouth, stained water, choppy water
Buzzbaits: Single blade largemouth, double blade smallmouth
There's some new baits out that can be worked as either a walk the dog or popper as well.
Had a buddy who caught some LM on poppers last friday at rough.

I say when fishing for Largemouth.... the buzzbait because I can cover more water with it.
I crushed them on a buzz bait on Tville yesterday.
I wouldn't necessarily say MORE productive but it's definitely warm enough that they will hit it. My buddies and I usually tie on a Pop-R at least once during our outings just to see if we can get a little topwater action and we've caught a few.
i don't know why but I hardly ever throw a buzz bait. I just never think about it. That's something I really need to do more of this year.
Chatterbait is a very overlooked bait

I like the chatterbait as a sub-surface bait but other than that I don't care for it. I can't seem to get it to run deep at all.

im not a chatter bait guy, but I'll fish a buzz bait almost all day if I can. I've won two tournaments Pretty much exclusively on them. they can be deadly at times.

Swimming it through grass can be good, like swimming a jig.
