Green River Lake
Hi, I am fishig a tournament down at Green River Lake next weekend and I wasn't for sure if it would be better staying on the main lake or if the river would be on yet. Also do your bigger limits come main lake or can you find good limits shallow? Any info will be greatly appiciated. Thanks!

It's hard to tell this time of year. My guess is that the spawn will dictate a fairly shallow bite, but there will be some that have gone deep.
I was on Green Friday before the rain started and had a pretty good shallow bite going (fished 2 hours had 6-7 keepers, best 5 went about 15 pounds). The way the lake level has been rising and falling will mess with that though. We were there with it 2.5 feet over summer pool. The rain took it up to 4 feet over summer pool, and now they are pulling it hard... I expect it to be right at summer pool for Saturday, and don't expect them to be pulling any more unless there is more rain.
We did not go in the river, so I don't know what the water looks like up there. Our best 2 hits came on wood about 8-10 feet deep (4.5 and a 3). Our more consistent bites were flipping 0-3 feet deep... caught 4 2-3 pounders doing this. Obvoiusly, anything tht was 0-3 feet Saturday should be all but dry next weekend.
I'll be running our USA Bassin tournament there on Saturday out of Ramp 1. Looks like we should have a great day for fishing.

Thanks so much Clint. I will see you at the USA Bassin tournament. I'm the kid that fished the last one in the Legend Boat. Thanks again.

Do you know what they were biting on? Hopefully the bite is still on for me this weekend.
