Barren River Lake Info Line# 646-2122. Gives water temp and lake level info as well.
Have fished Barren once with wife and at the time was just panfishing, but caught a few accidently while panfishing at Baileys Point. Any other honest bank opportunities.
Just got home fish were shallow 2-8 feet. They are scattered but very catch able. It took about 17# to win our club tourny today. Soft plastics were the hot ticket.
Thanks for the info I'm going in a week and haven't been since last year
I've been on barren almost every day for the past 3 weeks bass fishing. Been killing em on main lake points. But good luck finding a point because almost every point has a boat on it It's funny. About 15-20

ty slowjam I am going down Saturday , does anyone know if there is grass in the back of skaggs
I have been out 3 times the past week. slowjamcdub is on the money, fish are biting good on the main points (mostly seem to be mud points) and even up in the creeks in 2-6 feet of water where there is structure or cover. I caught several keepers in sage grass up beaver creek the last two times out. I would bet that there is grass up Skaggs as well.

What is tbe water temp? Has anybody found any deep (18-20ft) fosh yet? Heading down saturday morning and would like a general idea of where to start
The water temp where I was at was 67 or at least that is what my fish finder was telling me. As far as deep fish I myself haven't caught any. The deepest I have caught over the past few weeks was a bout 12 feet. However I do know a guy that that was chucking 6XD's around last week but i am not sure if he got on many fish or not.
