Does anyone have a detailed map of lake Malone they wouldn't mind sharing with me? I am taking Dad there on Thursday, and want to get him on some fish. Thanks!

Hope your going at night because that's a tough lake even then for bass. The locals curse that lake!
Put you a cricket under a bobber around the grass in the bays and you can catch some nice bluegill and catfish.
As for a map I have heard of people having one before but I have never seen one....no good creek channels anyway...pretty much fishes like a strip pit with zero current.
We have done decent there in the past, but I always wanted a good map for that lake. I guess I'll keep looking.

I always go on google maps and zoom in to the level I like. Then, use your snipping tool if you have windows or the print screen function if you have a mac. You can do this for sections of the lake if you want them really zoomed in but I have always done fine with the whole lake on one sheet of paper, lets me know how to navigate the lake at least.
Try the guy at this link.

That's good to hear because that is a tough lake to fish.

I have an old one I'd be glad to share. Sorry I didn't see this earlier guys.

We had a decent day yesterday. We caught a BUNCH of bass, but most were small. The biggest was a 17" LM I caught fishing the weed banks with a shaky-head worm. That was the bait of the day. Dad caught several on a 6" pumpkin/chartreuse Zoom lizard.

Could you email me the map?

I don't think I could scan it in a way that would be helpful to you, but if you'll PM me your address I'll try to send it to you. I used to fish Malone a bunch years ago but chances are slim I'll fish it anytime soon.

Thanks so much! PM sent.
I may go up there and check it out...haven't been in a couple of years but a white jig or chatterbait swam through the grass used to catch a few decent fish.
