My wife and I were fishing the creek at Juniper beach today and I caught a 8lb. channel cat on a double buzzbait!
He blew up on that buzz right over a brushpile, I thought I had a 6lb. LM/SM!! He tore my buzz to pieces!!!
The falls of the Ohio behind McAlpine dam is normally a good spot but the water has been so high this year that its been tough. Normally some cut shad or whole shad if they are smaller works well.

Greenup Dam is about the best place on the Ohio to fish IMO.
Never go wrong with an old oatball! Caught many monster carp on them suckers! Fun! Key is, once you got a nice big ball good, wet, and squeezed tight, grab a handful of dry oats and start mashing them all around the ball. It will make a good strong ball that will last you a while. Good luck!
