Ohio State,,I wouldn't have wanted to tell anyone also....
Of the 4 scholarship offers I had out of high school, OSU was the best deal financially for me plus their program was ranked just as good then as now. When you only end up borrowing $10,000 for 4 years of college and scholarship paid the rest it was the best for me
Re: UK Foootball -National Championship
If you are asking if I have a Master's, the answer is NO. Grew up in Winchester KY, went to school at OSU on a partial scholarship, paid the rest myself with loans. Worked full time all thru school, got married 3 months after I started shool and had my first kid. Earned my ASEE, BSEE and ASBM in 4 years total and was offered a job 2 months before I graduated back in Lexington as the Lead Technician for a company that did work for IBM before it became Lexmark and the rest is history. I will say that the piece of paper on the wall pretty much says you started something and accomplished that goal.
Then why sing such high praises about UK? You didn't go to school there nor did you acquire a degree from there, so why try to justify it being so wonderful with goofy polls and studies and whatever else you can come up with? Sounds to me like you're one of those fans that chose to cheer for UK for the stupidest of all reasons......you were simply born in Kentucky......
Re: UK Foootball -National Championship
If you ever want to see an intense rivalry, try OSU campus the week Michigan comes to town to play football. Back then it was not safe to walk down High Steet, which was wall to wall bars, without packing a machine gun. I forget what year I was there but Michigan beat OSU and cars were over turned and set on fire and all.
It was 1986, OSU undefeated in Big 10, Michigan had one loss and beat OSU 26-24 to earn trip to Rose Bowl

Born and raised in Winchester Ky. Been listening and following UK Basketball my whole life. Can remember stripping tobacco as a kid with dad, uncle and grandfather with Caywood calling the game on the radio. Just like my 7 yr old, asked for and got my room decked out in UK stuff as a small boy. It is the only thing I follow and care about when it comes to sports

I have every annual yearbook of Kentucky since they started putting them out. A ton of memorabilia including a ball signed by the entire 96 squad that was given to me by Scott Padgett, who worked a summer job at a bank where my mom was his boss the year Pitino suspended him. 18 years rooting for a team before college knowing you are moving back to Kentucky after college makes it simple to be a fan

So you were also there for OSU's most embarrassing football loss ever..........losing to Indiana..........hahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha.
that was October 8, 1988 when the Hoosiers won 41-7.
Probably will never happen again..but man, you should have seen Indiana's campus that night........practically tore the **** place down.

Lose to Indiana Football team is embarrassing, lose to Indiana Basketball is embarrassing, are there any sports that Indiana does well? We found out last week you could mark MMA off the list. How about Basketweaving or scrapbooking, are those sports? If so, I will take my wife against the whole school in a scrapbooking competition. She has more scrapbooking stuff than I have fishing stuff and that is no joke.
Re: UK Foootball -National Championship
Yea, but Indiana has their OWN nuclear reactor.....beat that.

But NOBODY in the State knows how to work it. You are much better off calling a Louisville, Kentucky or Ohio State grad to help you fellas operate the big popcornmaker

This thing has been a hoot to read and follow but I can't believe it's still alive. Back in the day ol Grumpy would have killed it by page two.
By the way my dad can beat up all your dads so I win. :)
