I guess I am the minority of the group. I don't vote, never voted and never will vote in my 46 years of living. I also don't gripe about who is in office or what they have done or have not done while in office. I also don't pray, don't read the bible and don't go to church. Over the last few years I have come to the belief there is no heaven no hell no God and no Devil. When you die you are put in the ground and that's it. I keep asking the same question over and over, Why put me and my family thru 32 surgeries and looking at #33 very soon? A real God , wouldn't allow this.

Elnut, I'm hesitant to even answer this because the last thing I'd want to do is seem to minimize the trial you've gone through.
All I can say is that you've been created in God's image. But sin came into the world through Adam and along with that, pain and suffering. No one is immune from it. Yours has centered on physical problems, others have buried a child, been sexually or physically abused, falsely imprisoned or worse.
Yes there is suffering, yours and mine. But the Good News is we were not created for this world, we're only passing through. You and I were born with an innate nature that wants to worship our Creator, and if we can do so even in our sufferings, we fulfill our purpose: to glorify Him while we are on Earth. Hard as that may be.
Read 2nd Corinthians 12:1-10. Don't abandon the one thing that can give you peace.

I know a few people who claim to be Christian but don't always do as Jesus did. Jesus was quicker to forgive than some on the internet.
