Mark you may be right, just what i thought i heard when the fish kill happened. I have a bad case of CRS and probably got it backward. I heard two pretty good reports from there today though. One friend had 11 by himself on artificial and another couple friends had 20 on live and artificial. Both had several good largemouth and one had a 7.4 largie.
Nice green bass for sure, man they are really doing well in that lake now that the grass has taken hold.
Sounds like your fellas had some nice days...

steven,i've been going down for years and it has dropped off alot for me,I know one problem for me is the pressure,i can only get down on weekends but the number of boats are crazy on the KY side where i fish.Alot of KY people are not buying their TENN license anymore.I ran a few miles down obey and fished 1/2 a day and did'nt see 6 or 7 boats, but when i got back to lilly-dale and made the turn up wolf it looked like green river lake on a saturday morning, boat on every point and one waiting for one to leave!! the people i take now only get to go once or twice so i dont run them out of KY so i'll just have to live with it and take the best available(just like tue. and fri nighters on GREEN) :)

I would agree that the fish kill definitely hurt DHL. Numbers are improving versus my experience this spring and at times during the summer. From everything I have heard, there was an excellent spawn this year and the fish we caught last weekend were solid - biggest being 20 1/4" and probably pushing 5 lbs. We had 12 smallies and one spot on Saturday - not as good as 3 or 4 years ago (from what I hear), but solid numbers. We had 8 on Friday and 3 on Sunday (half day). Attached is a picture of a the pig mentioned above caught by my partner.
