Pollution in the Ohio River at Old Clarksville

I would have to a agree with that also all in all I would say the river is cleaner now then ever! it is one hick of a fishery:-)

I agree that the river could be cleaner, back if the 70's it was real bad! If the river is so polluted could it suport it's smallmouth population?

That foam go home is just something that a friend and I made up and used to joke about down at Mcalpine. When there was a bunch of approx 5" tall whitish sort of soapy smelling foam all over the place in the turbine area we never saw a fish. It was probably ten years ago. It was just our experience with that type of foam at that time and place.

There are folks that know a lot more about fishing Mcalpine and foam than I do.

Ive never encountered a soapy smelling foam that could be a problem lol clean fish is dead fish
