I'm no puppy. I'm older that you and been around longer than you. If anyone is a puppy it the people that drink the Fix news propaganda like you! This is not my first rodeo and I've been around the block a few times. You on the other hand sound like you just fell off the back of the turnip truck.
You are wrong on the Global Warming issue. Plain and simple. If you think you and the majority of the people know more about the Earth's climate then you are a fool!
I'll continue to listen to the well educated scientist that were the ones that got John Glenn and the other men to the moon and back. \
I've yet to see some HS drop-out do something as great as put men on the moon and bring them back. That will only happen when Pigs sprout wings and fly!
I'll listen to the Elite College Educated Scientists and not the uneducated masses that you speak of. Most people don't know what's going on around them and get all their news and education on the radio and TV.
Speaking or Radio and TV. The link I posted to the CNN show Crossfire was about all the negative propaganda that's been put out on Radio and TV by the Right Wing Extremist in the Fossil Fuel Industry. People like the Koch Brothers have spent millions of dollars on false TV and Radio propaganda and false stories in the news papers. They took the initiative and got their side of the story out in a massive way. They have billions of dollars to play with and will spend millions to ensure that we stay on Fossil Fuel Based Energy Economy for the next 100 years or more (for as long as possible) so that they can continue to make more money and keep their billions. Because once the people see that alternative energy can full fill a lot of our energy needs we won't need to spend billions of dollars on polluting fossil fuels and the Koch Brother's profits will shrink. They are not about to let that happen.
We could easily start to fund alternative fuels and get off coal and oil as much as possible. We can't get rid of fossil fuels entirely just yet but we can start to limit their use by switching to some alternative energy resource today and not wait until we run out of coal or oil.
I personally think that Fuel Cell Technology is the future. And Al Gore has nothing to do with Fuel Cells.
Hahahahaha ok old man...I'll just agree to disagree. We will never see eye to eye on this but I will say this again...until you and all the other "believers" set an example of living a life style with restrictions on your energy and fuel usage nothing will be accepted as truth by the majority. You will have people who say they believe but they don't practice what they preach....they drive full sized SUV's, fly in commercial Jets, own plasma TV's and enjoy all the comforts of living like computers and scores of electronic gadgets. If that happens (it won't) people will start to believe but only if we are seeing undisputed truths to the claims of Global Warming. Blaming weather cycles and any natural occurrence on Global Warming isn't going to convince people to change.
Remember how a large majority of Americans never really had thoughts of terrorism before 911? People like me who spent time in the Military overseas lived dealing with terrorists. We trained on dealing with them and had drills on how to react to attacks. We were used to seeing Military or Police with Machine Guns walking around in Airports because that's the reality of living overseas. Once 911 happened civilians understood that terrorists were real and started to support the money spent on anti-terrorist causes. We now fly with the TSA groping and searching us, airports take longer to get through and security in general has been ramped up. It took an event that we could hear, feel and see for ourselves to change the mindset and sadly many don't believe or could car less any more about anti-terrorist moves because Americans in General have short memories.
My point is until Americans can see, feel or hear something more than political figures, talk show hosts, "scientists" who we don't know very little will change.....or it will take politicians shoving legislation on us and restricting our access to fossil fuels and taxing us to the point of submission before it becomes accepted and the thought of that happening scares me.
But I thought of this off topic discussion board and the people that deny that Global Warming is real and that it's created by man's burning of Fossil Fuels.
Like I said I've not reviewed it so I'm just posting a link to it. But I did see where a guy with a lot of money is going to start delivering some information to the people to help counter the false information being spread by the Fossil Fuel Money Folks. I personally think that's a good idea. Getting the truth out there is always a good idea.

It makes you wonder why he is spending alot of hard earned money to spread information. What is his agenda? To make more money? People don't spend money and expect nothing in return. I doubt very much that he is doing it out of the goodness of his heart and his concern for the environment. There is just too much money to be made in this global warming issue. As a matter of fact our former vice president made a fortune off of it.

Actually a majority of geoscientists do not agree that humans are creating a global warming crisis. So if you are listening to the elite educated scientists the you wouldn't believe it either. It appears that you are believing the ramblings of the political left instead. I can see by your post that you mention the Koch brothers and CNN. This is the left's way of demonizing the Koch brothers which are conservative. Keep the politics out of it and look at the science to find the real truth. Fuel cell technology and alternate forms of energy should be developed. What do you think of this idea. Keep our economy strong by using fossil fuels while at the same time developing alternate forms of energy. When the technology cycle ends for fossil fuels alternate forms of energy will be developed to maturity and be more cost efficient for industry which would make it a good business decision to switch to them instead of oil and coal. Right now we are closing coal fired plants and China is building them. Their economy is boomong and ours is collapsing under the pressure of over regulation.

BS I say
The Koch Brothers need to be demonized for what they do not only for who they are. They are bad for America. They are selfish and greedy and don't have all American's best interest in mind. We don't need anyone like them running this country in any shape or form. They are buying the election process with millions of dollars and that's not the way a Democracy should operate. Voters not money should rule in a democracy.
It's people like the Koch brothers that are holding back new forms of energy like Fuel Cells. Have you not read anything that I said about Fuel Cell Technology in these forums. You are saying exactly what I have been saying for years now.
We need to start developing all other forms of energy resources before we run out of fossil fuels.
And anyone who thinks that we can burn the amounts of fossil fuels we have been burning and not have an adverse effect on our planet is Crazy. IMHO
We need regulations. Without it our planet and our heath would suffer even more than it does now. I guess you must be too young to remember what the USA looked like before the USEPA was formed. There was a reason we formed the USEPA. And it was started under President Nixon who was a REPUBLICAN for god sakes. Even Nixon new we had to have regulations to protect our water and air resources from the greedy corporations that only care about their bottom line.
We would have Corporations and City's dumping human waste right into the River and Creeks without any treatment and that's not acceptable to me or the vast majority of Americans.

First, You have proven that older doesn't necessarily mean wiser. I know regulations are needed for the country to maintaining healthy air and water quality standards. I grew up in Pittsburgh when it was known as the "Smokey City". I could write my name in the soot from the open hearths on the cars when I delivered papers in the morning. I fished in the Monongahela river for catfish that we couldn't eat because of the oil pollution in the water from the barges. The river is clean and a variety of fish can be caught and the air is clean now because of regulations. That doesn't mean there wasn't alot of pain that the residents of the city had to go through. During the 80's, there was a mass exodus from there because of the Steel Mills closing and good paying jobs were gone. Pittsburgh went from a blue collar town to a white collar town in the last 30 years. We need clean air and water but the government should work with industry towards that goal to mitigate the impact on our economy. Second, why should the Koch brothers be demonized and not the wealthy democratic donors? You want to demonize them but are not saying a **** thing about the democrat billionaires that influence politics even more than the Koch brothers. Your claim that you are just concerned about the environment and big money influencing politics is just a cloak for your partisan rantings. If you were really concerned about it you would take your blinders off and look at the big picture. Look at Michael Bloomburg's $50 million dollar anti gun campaign for example. The Koch brothers are #59 on the top political donors list. I think you have 58 people to demonize before you get to them. Start early the election is in November.
