Remember during the 60s they turned the water hoses on them
This decision appears to be another excuse for looting and rioting. Chicago, New York and other cities had problems as well. Am I sorry for what the officer did? Nope, he did what he had to. Why didn't Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and other Black "leaders" show up or ask not to do this rioting and looting? Well in my opinion it was because he doesn't like to put racial fires out he likes to fan racial fires. How many folks were arrested last night? 1? 2? To me the rioting is getting the police to scared to do their job. There should have been hundreds arrested!
Well the other night (second night after more National Guard were called out to help) I saw some protesters refusing to get out of the street so the police turned the water hose on them. It was cold that night and they all got pretty wet. I image that put an end to their night of protesting.
I've had it with the looting and burning and destruction of property. And last night ( night before Thanksgiving) the protesters in Ferguson, Missouri burned and looted another police car. This time they tore a rack out of the inside of the police car and got away with a AR15. I hope that the thief shoots himself in the head. That's a serious weapon that's now in the hands of a criminal.
I have a neighbor who was on the police department in my County and he had his glock pistol stolen out of his family car one night a few years back. The police caught the kid that did it but they never recovered the glock. So that's floating around out there some where.
We need to use more force not less to stop these mas uprising. Some are calling for revolution. The step father of Michael Brown incited the crowd to burn the "B...." down!". He should be put in jail for inciting a riot. And then people like the family attorney dismiss that because they claim he was just emotional and didn't mean it. Yea right. But they don't think it's ok for Office Wilson to get emotional and fear for his life when a Black Man who's 6'6" tall and 290 lbs reached into a police car and punches a policeman in the face with his fists? Or tried to kill the policeman with his own gun?
Did anyone else notice how the step father is all fired up and the real father of Michael Brown was cool as a cucumber but sad? I sure noticed the difference in temperament. I have a good strong feeling that the Step Father is was a bad influence on the 18 year old man/child.
All the physical evidence confirms what the Police Officer said and it discredits the black people who testified that the office shot Michael in the back. That was not true.
And the guys who worked for the Brown Family and who did the autopsy was not who he claimed to be. He was not a medical Doctor nor a pathologist. He has a degree in biology only. CNN did a story about him today. He claimed to be a Professor at a College but when CNN's reporter called the college to ask if he worked there they said that he didn't work there now nor did he ever work there in the past. I spoke there one time. The guy is a fake. So the family run autopsy is suspect now even though this guy was just assisting the real Medical Doctor on the job. Where do these people come from?
IMHO the Police officer Wilson did his job and did a good job. He had not other choice but to shoot at the kid as the kid advanced at him instead of getting down on the ground and surrendering. At the time of the shooting Michael Brown was a Fleeing Felon. He had already conducted a Strong Armed Robber earlier that morning and he had just beaten and almost killed a Policeman. The Police can't run away from a guy like that. They must apprehend him with force if necessary.
That was not his job that was the Governors and Mayor's job
A nation of wussies. Tell them as soon as you start to riot its on. Our Pres was weak in his statement not to riot. Come out and say if you do X than Z will happen. And then do it.
I can't blame Obama for what happened in Ferguson, Missouri the last two nights. I blame the Mayor and the Governor of Missouri for the inaction. But then again they knew that the FBI was watching over them and maybe that was intimidating them.
The second night they police were much quicker to react and it helped. They even turn fire hoses on some of the protesters. If you are old enough to remember the riots during the late 1960s you will remember that fire hoses being used on people. I've seen video of those days and it was pretty graphic. People were knocked down or pinned up against a building wall by the pressure of the fire hose's water. They need to do that more often especially when it's cold outside. It's very effective and better than tear gas. Once they are wet they get too cold to riot anymore and have to go back home or go to jail.
I was around during Kent State Protests and the shootings at Kent State. So I was a little surprised that more people were not shot by the National Guard or the Police. It's a scary thing being a policeman and being outnumbered like they were. That makes it harder to do the job of policing the city.
The Governor finally got smart and called in more National Guard Troops to support the police the second night and that was more effective.
Hopefully this will pass and things will quiet down.
