Am a little surprised, from your post in the past you could care less if we have starving people as long as they don't bother you...
My old brain pan isn't what it used to be but I don't recall EVER saying "we can have starving people as long as they don't bother me." ??
I'm sure Geofisher could find what the current expenditure is for SNAP but I'm attempting to make a simple point. SNAP is rampant with fraud. That's all I'm saying. SNAP is rampant with fraud.
It galls my butt to read about all the ATM SNAP withdrawals at casinos, race tracks, fancy hotels, etc. Definitely places where a "poor needy" person shouldn't be using food funds.
Shipping commodities to the poor would feed them and stop the fraud. Is it practical? No it's not.
Would it be more costly? I don't know, but it's my simple opinion the extra cost could be absorbed by the decrease in fraud.
There would be nothing to prevent the recipients from selling these commodities on the open (black) market. That would be a win for me as I'd be able to purchase black market rice, beans, etc at a much discounted cost than what I'm paying at the market.
Seriously did you just say that tyme doesn't care about starving people? Do you actually hear yourself sometime. Robert is one of the most big hearted guys on this site, heck everybody on here is. Dude check your self Tyme would give somebody the shirt off his back if a guy really needed it.
Mark, thanks for the support but I can fight my own battles. It's ironic considering the e-mail I sent to you to "chill out and not let this stuff bother you."
I prefer to visit this site to learn new fishing./boating techniques and share the same and let others argue about the current affairs and political nonsense.
I listen to talk radio while driving and just have to turn it off when the politicians from either side spew their lies. Notice I said both sides.
REWARD OFFERED: If anybody can find where I said "I could care less if we have starving people as long as they don't bother me..." I will send you funds necessary to purchase your favorite adult beverage.
I'm a man of my word. Find that post and I'll honor this offer.

Sad.........and actually the advanced find is not quite that hard to use......even a caveman could use it.
Now, I'm not calling you a caveman, or associating you in any way to cavemen.....
I'm just pointing it out......just so you don't say I called you names in a post 6 months from now.
Later,

Hmmm... must be something in the water... I agree...
SNAP is rampant with fraud. That's all I'm saying. SNAP is rampant with fraud.
it certainly is.
It galls my butt to read about all the ATM SNAP withdrawals at casinos, race tracks, fancy hotels, etc. Definitely places where a "poor needy" person shouldn't be using food funds.
mine too.
Shipping commodities to the poor would feed them and stop the fraud. Is it practical? No it's not.
I believe this also.
There would be nothing to prevent the recipients from selling these commodities on the open (black) market
I think there would be some of this but nothing like the fraud involved in the food stamp trade.
I believe the good outweighs the bad as far as the food stamp program goes even though we see a lot of trading food stamps for money, cigarettes and everything else it does alleviate most of the hunger we would have without it..
i'm sure the wording of the post I attributed to you isn't spot on, its been a long time and I'm not sure how long it would take to find it but if it turns into an argument I will certainly attempt...... had something to do with hungry kids and your opinion about that being not your concern...
I took the hint from Geo and searched for hungry, hunger, kids, starving, poor, etc using Tyme2fish as the poster and came up with nothing.
The reward is still offered and if the post can't be found, I think I'm owned an apology.
If the post cannot be found and you refuse to apologize, I challenge you,Sir to a duel. We shall throw limp spaghetti noodles at each other from 50 paces. First noodler to land, wins. :p

What facts? You've yet to post a fact, only your misguided opinion or memory. My challenge to you stands.
I repeat, your accusation towards me is unfounded and untrue.
Geo, you're a computer expert, could you try to find a post where I said what Hlleonard accuses of me. If you find such a post, and that's a mighty big if, I will apologize to all and ,Geo, you will receive the reward offer I posted.

Fine, it's turned into an arguement. So "attempt" away....and when you can't locate something I never said, I expect you to admit same.
