This was a non fishing vacation...........
I had opportunities, and my wife wanted to book a fishing excursion, but I didn't want to spend time doing that with so much other stuff to do.

From the Luau last night.........These pics don't do it justice.....
Was this first vacation away from the "crumb crushers'? It's sorta nice to meet your wife again after the kids are gone. Being very subtle sort of let her know, that you 'sacrificed" some great fishing to be with her.[lie, its been colder than hell. the lakes are frozen]. But don't carry it to far. Once the "kids" are grown, its your time, make the most of it.

Yes, first vacation without the kids. We have had a couple 1 or 2 day excursions, but nothing serious.
I will tell you HOW serious......I'm thinking of selling my boat, and saving the nickels I spend on fishing. I could do a GREAT vacation with my wife every year if I didn't fish so much.
SERIOUSLY, I may put the boat on the market.
Later,
Geo
DANG, it is freakin cold here in Naw Albany..........
If I took a vacation with Mrs.Tyme for two weeks, I'd end up selling my boat too.
Along with the house, trucks, etc for the divorce split!!
What was in the water there on the islands? You're to young to quit the fishing thing. My late wifes solution was to buy me a porte a bote to go with the travel trailer and truck[the truck was my idea]. We did a heck of a lot of traveling in the four years before the engine gave up on the diesel. I noticed she was writing a journal, and after she died i made copies for her kids. She called it Alone Together, I named it Me and you, and a dog named sue.
