St. Clair Results
Was wondering how you guys did this past weekend at St. Clair - my dad and I went Sat - Mon and it was sloooowwww for us. Only caught 20-30 smallies each day (which is pretty bad for this lake this time of year). Talked to a bunch of other guys on the lake that said the same thing. Just curious to see how you all did.

I had a buddy there with a large group and over all they did pretty good. He got one smallmouth that went 5.8. It was not a great number trip however and the water temps are what a lot of guys are blaming. The weather up there took the water temps from upper 60's and low 70's to the low 50's in places, now that is a hit.
Yesterday they said it was really picking up though and they were slamming a spinnerbait. Most fish taken on the traditional Clair stuff with tubes, senko's and jerk baits.

RR another wave of spawners has come shallow in that 3 to 7 foot range. It seems a lot of these fish being caught are decent but not a lot of 4 plusers being caught with regularity. The post spawners are moving out some and are hungry and the 8 to 11 foot range may get your arm broke....;)

mhall thanks for the info sounds good I will let you know how we do.
I hope everyone had a good and safe Memorial Day, thanks to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice I can go fish anywhere anytime with who ever I choose. We probably take our freedom to much for granted it comes with a huge price tag. God bless those who gave their all.

Quality Inn in Warren was outstanding for the price. It is more removed from the lake than Roseville but worth it. They are remodeling and the room we had the new beds were the bomb. Nice staff and very accomodating. There is tons of places to stay up there and a Google search will get you info.

Place to stay

We stay at Beaumont Inn in Roseville - good rooms, great continental breakfast, little pricy, but has plenty of parking for boats and electrical hookups. Also, do a google search for Anglers Point. Great for large groups of people.
