What is the record {15.3} I think your knocking on the door for sure and I hope you get it!
Thanks. Yes sir, 15lb 3oz is the current record. There's definitely a new state record swimming in there, just a matter of time before it gets broken. With all the pressure it's getting the big girls are getting smarter by the day, so it's even more of an accomplishment now to trick a DD into biting. There have been a couple in the 14lb range that have been caught in the last few years.
I've been giving it 110% every time I go there, so hopefully all the time, money and work put into it will pay off one day with at least another DD. I've had two I saw follow my bait right to the boat that I know were 10lb+ the last couple years, made my knees weak when it happened!

I'm 20 minutes from the lake and your coming from Lexington so it's your boat and your call on the time and I will be there.

I was just looking at a topographic map and this sure looks like a ledge bite lake and a bet a 9" Nichols Ben Parker spoon could put some nice fish in your boat.

Looking forward to it.
Yeah, it's a cool lake and loaded with DD's.
I've been busy too, we're building our new house now and have been so busy with that and haven't had the boat out since May....! I've got the itch bad, going to try and get down there soon.

Bite was much better today, had 7 hits and boated 5 of those, best one was a hair over 3lbs. But all those fish came from 1 spot not much bigger than a truck and 20' deep.
