There was a guy in Boonville, IN that only went to the grocery store at Schnucks and Walmart. He was elderly and afraid of getting the virus. His daughter was a nurse at the local hospital. He got the virus and died. It just happens. This was before the Governor required everyone to wear a mask.
I saw a video about how masks work. It's the one where they used a green lase to see the spit coming out of the mouth of a man talking. With a mask on the spit particles were lessened considerably. This is why we are required to wear a mask. It's to protect others from our infecting them. And those Hazmats suits need to have a positive pressure inside them at all times in order to keep the virus particles out of them. They can leak or you can get the virus on your hands and then touch your mouth, nose, or eyes and transfer virus particles to your body that way. That is why you need to wear a mask, wash your hands often, and then keep away from other people. Even family can give you the virus. Young me and women coming home from college can spread it to mom and day during thanksgiving holidays.
The amount of humidity in the air can have an effect on infections. If the air is dry your nose can dry out and the nasal layers can crack and dry out thus allowing the virus to enter the cells of the nose and mouth easier.

Masks, distancing and washing your hands
These are important to slow the spread. They may not stop is but that is no excuse to not wear a mask when inside around other people.
Just wear a mask. If you have an N95 mask then wear it as it will protect you better than a paper mask. But if someone is infected others are much better off when the infected person wears a mask. And since we don't always know if we are infected then everyone needs to wear a mask to make everyone else safer. it's simple.
Let me tell you this, You don't want to get this infection because even if you don't die you can get very sick and be affected for a long long time.
