I agree with you we ought at all levels spend more time detailing facts instead of starting with a political position and then trying to rationalize it.

In the long run, history will tell us all in retrospect if masks, shots, social distancing and mandates made a difference. I’m on track to be here when we see those historical trends.

Unfortunately, some will not be with us to see the results. So to each his own.

Because the virus got stronger and people didn’t take as many precautions as they did before. Social gatherings, sports gatherings, rock festivals. People exercised their freedom to choose and so time has shown what the results of such actions were. I don’t know, trial and error with a nasty virus ain’t my idea of prudence.
