People refuse to get fully vaccinated. Those that are UN Vaccinated will continue to get sick with this SARS CoV-2 virus and it will continue to mutate inside these hosts. So I blame the unvaccinated people for Omicron. Remember this all happened first in South Africa where they have a robust surveillance system for Covid-19 viruses. This means that South Africa found it first not that it developed there. With airline travel so easy to obtain these days the virus can spread around the world in a few days time.

It seems that the SARS CoV-2 virus invaded the fat cells and the immune cells inside fat cells too. The latter causes more inflammation.

This is why heavy people don't do so well with the virus. I got this on Flip Board on my smartphone. It's an app that came with my phone.

I read where the CEO of Pfizer said that we may need a 4th booster for Omicron. Tell me why we went from Delta to Omicron?

I don't think so.....I believe the data shows that FATTER people have a lot more co morbidities, and that is the issue.

Which is why some fat people without co morbidities survive it.

My take is that this is very early research. Not on Humans, and not live tissue, although I'm not too sure about the live part.

Just not sure it is something that had correlation, IMHO.

I would also say that Bariatric patients are the absolute worse of the worse........some are near death from obesity in the first place.

THIS would have been a much better study if done on covid patients, that were fat, but I think there would be issues taking fat samples from them :o ..

I agree vaxed or not we all ought be following the guidelines re: masks, distancing, gathering. to me the vaccination is one part of the puzzle and not the end all only thing one needs do to try to remain safer.
