Almost totaled out my vehicle tonight. I went to see my 97-year-old mother who is in a nursing/rehab facility. She is not eating and won't take her medications. She needs an IV, but they can't get a vein to accept a iv needle/catheter. Bottom line is she is dying. It's just a matter of time. On my way home around 7:30PM some idiot from out of state ran a red light and hit the front of my truck. Or I hit his rear end as he zoomed in front of me. I was turning left with a green turn left light, and he was going straight at me from the other direction. My truck got banged up on the front end and drivers' side front fender.

The other day I was in the Walmart Parking lot and some guy was trying to park on the other side of my car facing me. He said his foot slipped off the brake pedal and his car lurched forward and hit my front bumper. I felt sorry for the guy and let him go without reporting the accident. Now my front bumper is rattling and making a noise. If I had known it was going to do that, I would have gotten him insurance info and had them fix my bumper. He was old and disabled and could not walk. he had one of those electric scooters to get around.

Tonight, is not my night. I just hope that mom doesn't die tonight as I could not be there with her.

Your kind words mean a lot. They got her to drink a cup of water so that's good. If they go without water, they only last a few days. She was drinking two Boost high protein drinks a day with her pills, but she can't hold that down anymore. She was curled up in the fetal position when I saw her last night. My truck headlights are in trouble, and I need to get the other car out of the garage. But I had a 6 cubic yard dumpster put in front of the garage and that must be picked up this morning before I can get the car out of the garage and see her. She made it through the night. I've been helping here live at home for the last three years. I'm disabled and have congestive heart disease and kidney failure and just got out of the hospital. That was my 11-day vacation. I must wear a defibrillation device in case I go into Ventral Fibrillation. It's supposed to shock me back to life.

I do really hope things improve for ya. I know that sounds too little but don’t know what to do to help. Crazy thought can that dumpster be pulled out the way with a pickup?

My cousins from the East Coast drove 13 hours to get her and see my mother. They spent two days here visiting and watching over my mother as she is dying. Mom got move to hospice today and will die there a natural death while in good hands that will see that she is without pain and suffering. My cousins are heading back home tonight. They have over 750 miles to drive and will spend the night in a hotel tonight, so they don't have to stay on the road for another 13 hours. I'm worn out. I went to see her at the nursing home this morning and not knowing if was still alive or dead was hard to bear. Luckily, she survived the night and was a little more aware and talkative. But she has dementia, and it comes and goes. She is refusing food and water so that is what happens when they are dying. I got her to drink some water two days ago which is prolonging her life but the last two days she won't even drink water for me. Hospice is the best place for her right now. And I can get some much needed rest.

Experienced the Hospice piecewith my mother in law and its tough to go visit and remain upbeat. For me the only thing I could cling to was knowing she felt better when I was there and so collectively we were doing our part to work together on it. Hang in there man, get some rest, and I'm sorry this is happening to ya.

That is how I feel. I can be there for her, so she knows she is not all alone.
