Selling them could be a possibility. I gave some stuff to my buddy over the weekend just to make some more room for newly bought ammo that actually produces fish. The LC's, X Raps, and In Line Buzzbaits are now at the bottom of the list. One more trip to BP or catalog order and more room will be necessary. I will keep you in mind. They are by the way, 3 jerkbaits and 2 crankbaits. One of the jerkbaits actually produced a 12" spot this weekend but I think this fish was trying to commit fishicide to begin with. This is the only reason that it hit was hoping to end up in the frying pan. Too bad I catch and release all. I may give them one more shot this weekend or next and that will be it. Produce or off to take up space in some other tackle box. I may even take a hammer to them just for payback for all the wasteful cast they have cost me.
Tight Lines
for me it was the talking jig and the tlking on-liner by bill dance. not to mention spending about $200.00 on fat free shad's that didn't work. lol
oh by the way i'll give you $5.00 each plus postage for them luckycraft baits.
I must be older than most of you, but I remember buying a lure when I was kid back in the 70s that was a real winner. It was an orange and white plastic bait that looked like a little submarine. It came apart in the middle and you put some sort of a dissolving tablet inside that was supposed to make it swim. Of course, it didn't do #$&^^. Second would be the Dancin' Eel, which only caught the starved bass in the pond Bill made the commercial at.

How about the Dance's Craw, sure looked good, but never even got a whiff from a fish... Same thing for the Dance's EEL... I just laugh everytime I even think of or see that 2 foot long Buzzbait...
But the best lure I ever bought was the High Rider Buzzbait, double blades with styrofoam balls attached to help keep it above the surface so it can be worked extra slow... It really works...
We must have shopped at the same Pic N' Save! I still have mine somewhere. Came in an Army green vinyl carrying pouch. The little "blood tablets" have turned into a nasty looking powder. I introduced a buddy of mine to fishing around the time the helicopter lure came out. We went trout fishing once and he said, "Hey, look what I just ordered off TV!" I tried to hold back the laughter but just couldn't. Shame on guys like Roland and Bill for endorsing such crap:)

Bill Dance would sell his soul to the devil if he thought he could make a dime. That guy is the biggest marketing prostitute that's EVER been in the fishing industry. I also use to just love his shows where he would catch five and six pounders on every cast. Of course he was fishing in Charles Spences private honey holes where's they have a big bass ever two feet of water. Can you tell how much I respect ole Bill.
All my spinnerbaits
I too have the whole set of helicopters. My father bought them back when, he has passed and so I keep em for a keep sake. Almost dumped em once for the box but didnt. I have never tried em so if ya catch fish on em let me know if ya dont mind.
You don't like those Fat Free Shad??
Do you have any of the large "citrus Shad" ones? I lost my last one, and can't find them anymore. I've got fish over 6 lbs on this lure. I have a one of the white ones left, lost one the last time I fished. A 15 lb+ drum swam off with it.
This bait had Bill Dance's signature, kind of chartruese on the bottom, and blue on top. Great bait... wish I could find more of them.
Danny
Well, everyone has to take a chance with a new bait on the market. I never thought the Chatterbait would be all that great, boy was I wrong! It's a strange lookin' fish catchin' son of a gun! Sometimes getting away from the ordinary is well worth the chance!
P.S. - If you don't know what a Chatterbait is, I pitty you! :)
Ditto on the citrus shad FFS.
I laugh every time I see someone with the banjos, helicopters, the crankbaits with the blinking red light, 2' long buzzbait, ect...
A guy in one of my old bass clubs bought all that crap on tv. My partner and I laughed and laughed when he showed up with the true motion lures one day. Didn't laugh so hard later when he blew everyone away at the weigh in. Note to self.. Peacock bass love true motions...
Personally, I'm pissed about the 13" woodchoppers I bought for "monster peacocks" that never caught a thing when my good old devil's horses were readily available, cheaper and very effective.
