I agree with you, my father is my pick. We have fished for just about anything that swims in freshwater and saltwater. We seemed to always come back with something in the cooler even if it was blue crabs or shrimp that we were after. No idols for me in fishing....

Both were very instrumental in developing me as a fisherman and getting me into the outdoors. Both of them always made time to take me fishing and supported my habit with buying me what I needed to enjoy the outdoors. Both of them knew a lot about fishing and helped me learn. They were always there when I had a question and very supportive. To both of them I owe a great deal.
Pro's would have to the ones that I have met personally and they left me with a very positive impression. (1) Met Hank Parker several years ago fishing a tournament where he was one of the hosts for the weigh-in. I met him the day before on my flight to the tournament. Very down to earth and friendly not to mention being a good fisherman. Also, he impressed me by remembering my name the next time I saw him and introducing me to his friends. Class act! (2) Drew Shaw Grigsby in the 2005 BASS Pro Tour Event on Lake Guntersville as a non-boater. Another great guy and class act. The remaining list goes something like this (3)Joe Thomas (4) Edwin Evers (5)Gerald Swindle (6)David Walker.
