RE: Sunglasses for Fishing...Solar Bats
One other big difference that nobody has seemed to mention is the polarization film. All polarized glasses are polarized w/ a film. The difference between cheaper sunglasses and the higher dollar ones is in the location of this film. Good glasses have the film embedded in between the lenses during the molding process as opposed to on the outside of a cheaper pair. When you scratch a cheap pair you ruin that film, making it very easy to see the benefit of having the film embedded. Do cheap (doesn't cost much to get a new pair) or go with the higher dollar ones (comfort, quality of lenses, durability of polarization), but I personally would not do the middle of the road. I prefer high-end sunglasses because the benefits out-weigh the price-tag. JMHO. Good luck w/ whichever you purchase. Last year I dropped a pair in the water and it made me wish they were the cheap ones.
