Not your fishing coach... I'm talking about your football coach.... every single opening in the coaching profession, even The Little Sisters of the Poor, and he checks out the opening trying to get more money!
LOL
I've still got a lot more smack to talk about UL... I've been holding back... LMAO
IT's kind of like hoosier jokes when you live on the KY/IN boarder... or if you lived in Northern IN, they all told Polish jokes. My uncle and aunt used to live up there... WOW got some great ones from them that I adapted to hoosier jokes while I lived in Henderson.
Really though, the smack talk should probably be moved over to the tournament board since it is about the tournament.
What do you think?
Tight lines and God Bless
Danny
PS, don't know why this posted twice, but I'll delete one of them.
Alright fellas, I am unable to get in on the fun on the official board of Smash-Mouth so I want some trash talk to begin here...And anyone else who wants to join in to root on your favorite Ky team then git-r-done.
Now that Mr. Brown has started the fire, well he got'er goin' real good, I thought I would add for the fun of it (Scott I think your alias should be Ike for this event). So why is UofL going to be the national champions? First off, we are coming off a terrible performance on Barren and are looking to capitalize on emotions in the next event. We are here to prove to not only ourselves, but to the nation that there are boys in the city who know how to fish! The River is in our backyard, this river experience will play to our advantage when dealt the cards on the Arkansas River. Plus, Scott Brown, has grew up fishing Kentucky and Barkley Lakes, so when the bite gets tough we will be probing the off-shore structures, loading up the boat with 3 & 4 pounders. With my shallow water, power fishing techniques, combined with Scott's experience with fishing off-shore structure, we will be the duo to beat. Both of us being comfortable to finessing (that Yankee sissy style as Swindle would say) if we have to. If the jig bite is on...watch out....if the fish are relating to offshore structures...watch out....if there are fish in the pond...watch out cuz we will catch'em! Brown & Hickman...you'll here those names announced as we hoist up the championship trophy.
Alright Kyle give it to us, but c'mon don't be too harsh about Barren. haha.
If I had to place a bet on one thing in this tournament that I am almost sure of, is that a Kentucky team will be bringing the trophy home, no if's and's or but's about it. I mean c'mon, we have the best burboun, women, horses, and fisherman! Eat your heart out you other 49 states!

Yes Mr. Petrino has lost trust from myself, but we got a contract on him now. Great coach! But dang what a @$%^...Anyway you don't have to bother with moving the thread unless you want, I'm done. Just to dang excited about this thing and the seconds seem like days...
i was just wondering how did all of you get into this college fishing i am 20 years old and think i am good enough to compete. or is this college stuff just a side thing for people that go there?
You have to be a member of the university fishing club/team, and in order to be a member of the organization you must be enrolled in that school. Some say you must be a full time student (atleast 12 hours), I know that is our rule and within good standing (GPA over 2.0).
well i guess i have missed that chance i went to a tech school and western for 2 classes to get my assoc. and am now working.
Western has a team....go back to college and get a bachelors degree in something! Do it now while you're still young! You can never have too much college education!!!!
it wont benifit me any except for those ******** 4 year classes that wont help you any at what you do.
hey art are u in agr at murray state?
Eric,
Thank you for the kind words. I'm ready for the cool down and some schooling fall fishin. BTW if you guys need another boat to haul fish, I can take mine.
Yes sir I am! I am a proud brother of the Alpha Omega chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho! I went to Murray State for four years, had to transfer to U of L to finish out my Civil Engineering degree...got burnt on the transfer thanks to Murray State's poor job of advising. I should have just started at U of L to begin with, but hey, it worked out for the better - learned some great things at Murray about land surveying, construction estimating, and joined one of the best fraternities ever! I see all my brothers regularly, all of whom love to fish, they keep me posted on the fishing on Kentucky Lake, always know where to hunt, and they never turn down a good bon-fire or a great night of partying! I'm usually in Murray about once or twice a month for some barbecue at "The Keg" and to circle up the trucks around a bon-fire and sing A Country Boy Can Survive at 4:00 a.m. !!!
