About a month ago when we this question came up I checked and the usage was consistant with the past.
I think and some others agree that the high gas prices this summer may have kept some folks at home so they have vewer things to report and not as many questions to ask. I know it startled me at the begining of the summer when it was $18 to fill up one of my little 6 gallon tanks. Filled up down in Burksville last weekend and back down to about $12...thats much better.
Anyhow. Thanks for tuning into Fishin.com
Ya thats what i said Bje but my post got deleted .....Happy huntin
I agree with bje!
My Little Nissan Truck holds 16 gallons and it use to give me about 300 miles on one tank of gas. I use to pay less than $10 to fill the tank up. Now it costs me about 30 to 35 dollars to put in 10 gallons. I always fill it up when it gets on 1/4 full on the fuel gauge. Now I get around 200 miles on about 12 gallons and that's a combination of highway and city driving while hauling the boat.
I use to drive to Patoka Lake a lot more than now. But I found some new lakes nearby that are full of crappie and I go there now. It's only ten minutes from my house and I can be fishing in less than 20 minutes after I leave the house. Why drive 140 miles to fish when I can drive only 15 miles and in less time catch the same amount of fish.
Now if I ever can located the 2lb slabs at Patoka I'll start fishing up there again.
I really don't think that gas prices are going to go back down to $1.00 /gallon in my lifetime. I sure wish they would but I doubt they will. 6 years ago could you have imagined thinking that $2.00/gallon was a great deal. Well today after paying over $3.00/gallon all summer long the $2.00/gallon price looks better.
After the election I predict that BP and the rest of the oil companies will run the price of oil back up again.

Ok I hope that I don't create a conflict but "I think the new format has turned people off this board." I have been keeping stats and as of RIGHT NOW the post on any page shows that over 34% are done by either a moderator or a sponsor of this board. The posts don't seem to go anywhere. It seems that when I get on this board(2-3 times a day) that the same people are all that is here and the same old post are at the top.
I have talked to SEVERAL people that used to be on here and they say what is all that "crap". Well I hope this page takes off soon ,
Oh and by the way where did everyone go?
