Count me in if the time fits my schedule
I`m game for one,,don`t know if i`ll be useing a fnf,,but want to learn.
Billy Classic / Horse Creek Invitational is a 2 day tourney out of Horse Creek at Dale Hollow. It is held annually, the first Saturday and Sunday of December. All day on Saturday then half day on Sunday. No locals, you must live at least 100 or 150 miles from Horse Creek to be eligible. 2 man tourney, Smallmouth only which means you can bring in 2 over 21" and 2 under 16" each day. Total weight wins. From what I found the 2 under 16" in December will be just as hard to catch as the 2 over 21". Will be my first year fishing but plan on fishing it from now on. Me and Netboy (Cliff) may just luck into a couple of good ones and hopefully win it on our first venture. Sure won't be for lack of effort.
Has there been a date set for this yet?
I'm in if it fits my schedule. I got some of El's bobbers now I'm after some of Billy's flies. I got the rod and the desire, just need some know how.
That should make everyone happy. I do not think it will conflict with any of the tournament circuits and the Usual Dale Hollow 2 Day Tournament is the First Weekend.
Let me know if this works and I will contact the folks at Wolf Creek Outfitters. They have a new Campground and 2 cabins.
Also will contact a couple of area motels to see if they can offer some good prices.
Will also contact Stephen Headrick about maybe coming and bring some Float and Fly gear and Bob Coan to do some seminars..

Any more info on some motels in the area? Is there a place close to get an early morning artery clogging, heart stopping hot breakfast?
There are 2 cabins at Wolf Creek and then there is a new motel near the intersection of 53 and 127.
I can call down there or stop by and see if they will let us have a discount for a group. Also I would like to headquarter at Wolf Creek Outfitters. With the Campground there it would be a good place to have meetings and to have dinner and get toghether if the weather is not too brutal. IF NOT we might try one of the meeting rooms at the State Park, or maybe the new motel has a room. Only place to eat near the dam is the State Park I think.. Maybe I could cook some breakfast for everyone at the Campground in the AM?? Eggs, Bacon, Coffee?? Maybe some Bisquits?
How about it?
Sound like a plan?
LET ME KNOW... I need to start getting ahold of Stephen, Bob and others plus set it up with Wolf Creek Outfitters.

Even me, the Chubmeister may be interested in attending this event...It all depends on work and how some other things are going in a couple of months.
I am from the Knoxville, TN area, and looking for a place to get a good map of Cumberland. Any ideas? A couple of us here are interested in the weekend.
