Rain Suit?

I've had an FLW rainsuit for three years now...hasn't let me down yet! For the price you can't beat it! The only downside is in summer it can get hot...I wear a Frog Toggs when it's hot. The Frogg Toggs gets cheaper every year. If you can remember, they are about half off at Bass Pro come December! Got mine last winter for about $25 !!

How about footwear? What does everyone favor for keeping your feet dry?

Crocs. If you havent tried them you need to. The holes let air and water in and out. Plus they are very comfortable when you are standing all day. Bass Pro has them but check them out at [url]www.crocs.com[/url]

I agree with jdw174 Cabela's makes great rain suits. I also have frog toggs for summer as they are light weight. I can understand DJD wearing out the seat of his Frogs but the knees?----Is he praying for fishing to improve or is he lipping fish? inquiring minds want to know.

Your right art, they don't keep your feet dry, but they don't keep them wet either. Plus the non skid soles keeps your butt dry on the ramp

I have two different goretex rainsuits from Cabelas.

The first one, my light/summer outfit, and what I use on Boundary Waters, and Quetico TRIPS is Cabelas Rainy River. I've used this stuff for nearly 10 years, and it is simply the BEST raingear EVER. You end up feeling a little clammy after 6 hours of DOWNPOUR, but you're basically dry. I went through a downpour a couple years ago, that dumped 4 inches of rain in 1 hour, and my polartec undershirt was still dry. This was important because it was a 50 degree day, and hypothermia was DEFINITELY a possibility.

The next set is the Pro GUIDE raingear from cabelas. These are bibs, and are the XCR goretex material. The jury is still out, mostly because I've only used it for a couple trips, but I stood for an hour under my shower, without getting wet, so I think it passes the GEO LABS seal of approval.

Basically, you cannot go WRONG with cabelas gear.

Does your casting arm get wet from casting, when you bring your arm up and the water seeps down your arm from your hand and reel... This happens even by having the velcro strap snug n tight... Does anyone have a solution to prevent this from happening?

Ever try a sweat band for the wrist? It will help, i have used them in the past. I cast side armed alot which also helps. Good luck.

Thanks alot guys, got an idea on what to look at now. Not sure on pants and jacket style, or the bibs. But for the feet I wear the Seal Skin socks and what ever shoes, They work great for me.
