RE: Silver Buddy Lures
Bass Pro doesn't sell them...I haven't checked Cabela's yet to see if they sell them. The only place I know where I can get them is my local Walmart. I have no idea if the one's at Walmart are originals or imposters...quite truthfully I wouldn't know the difference because the only one's I've seen thus far are the one's I just purchased at Wal-mart.
Sivler Buddy used to have a website...I have them saved on my list of favorites but lately when I've tried accessing their website it's like it doesn't exist or it dissappeared or something.
Elwood - I'll most likely be in touch with you as the end of October approaches. I'll be on Cumberland 10/29 through 11/1. I believe you're going to be there the week before me, just try to save me a few will ya?, lol...

RE: Silver Buddy Lures
Don't know why BPS quit selling them. It's just as well that silverbuddy.com doesn't come up anymore. IIRC they were $4+ on there; they wanted you to buy from their distributors.
If your Wal-Mart is like mine, someone buys out the entire stock the first five minutes they are put on the shelf. (Maybe Jonas can hook us up, lol). After that you're lucky to find a couple of 1/4 oz. ones and maybe a few gold ones.
There were a couple of guys on here last year that made them themselves. Seems like they were selling them for $2.50 or so. Maybe they'll see this and chime in.

RE: Silver Buddy Lures
UPDATE - I see you can purchase these lures through a website called www.landbigfish.com
Depending on size and color the prices range anywhere from 4 to 6 bucks. I have never ordered anything from these people so I can't give any advice in regards to that.

RE: Silver Buddy Lures
Tim,
I will be at the Big C from the 23rd thru the 29th chasing Strippers ( I mean Stripers ) and Smallies. You can find plenty of Silver Buddy Lures around Cumberland if you can't get any local. Depending on how many you want, I know a guy that buys them in bulk (100 at a time from the manufacture) the only difference is you assemble them yourself which takes maybe 45 seconds each. You will get the blades, hooks and swivels all seperate. I have not been there in 2 years but I would bet that the BP on your right just before you get into Jamestown has them as does the Lake Cumberland Country Store on your left just before the entrance to the state park off US127 will have them too. Call me, 502-419-1673 for we are staying in the cottages behind Lake Cumberland Country Store and will be most likely putting in at the Dam every day. Current plan is to put in at 4am every morning for a couple hours of smallie, then morning Stripers in the jumps for however long that last, pulling planer boards for stripers, then the last couple of hours of daylight for smallies again, Full Day of fun and relaxation. Hopefully by the 29th, I will have caught at least one or two and give you some help. I should get cell phone service all over, even in the cottage.
