there is no rule

>disqualified.
>OH AND IF YOU WERE SMART ENOUGH WHILE ALL THE OTHER FOOLS OUT
>THERE, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT IT IT NOT ILLEGAL TO CHANGE THE HP
>NUMBERS ON THE CAP THERE IS A LITTLE STICKER ON THE SIDE OF
>EVER MOTOR THAT STATES THE HP OF THE MOTOR .........SO GET
>YOUR STUFF STRAIGHT
What "TURNIP TRUCK" did you just arrive on to this planet, I don't see where you have any right, slamming anyone on this board...This board is a user friendly web site and everyone on here is people friendly.... But you on the other hand are down right disrespectful 100 %. One guy states what is wrong with changing stickers and cheating just to be able to fish either a HP Limit Lake or a HP Limit Bass / Fishing Tournament... In my 25 plus years of Tournament Fishing "YES" some Touenaments do Have a restricted HP Limit assigned for the entrants in their tournaments... So yers Danny does have his "STUFF" straight and so do I as far as my knowledge about Tournaments and HP Limits.... It is you my pal, that don't have your "S T U F F" straight....
Have a nice day ......}(

RE: mfishyboy
Not accusing anyone of cheating in anything. i just know of a small club that had a tourney on malone and two fellows were disqualafied from it because they changed the hp decal. the reason for that was even though it is a tournament they still have to obey the law and abide by the rules for the lake. they were disqualafied for having a 225 hp because they broke the rules of the lake they did NOT CHEAT IN THE TOURNEY. The law is the law and we as people have to follow it.I dont beleive danny said anything about cheating he was referring to people breaking the law by changing the hp decal so they could fish the lake.

RE: mfishyboy
I haven't posted on this board in a long time, but I had to weigh-in on this one. I have fished a lot of tournaments where the rules plainly stated "All State and Local Laws Must Be Obeyed. That being said, back to the content of this thread. In the eighties, I fished Malone several times a week.( I think that may have been what caused my divorce) I don't like it in the daytime, but it is a good nighttime lake. My two biggest were both 9lb 12oz caught two weeks apart, and both in night tournaments.

Night Time Bass'n
Thanks for the extra info about the great times you had on the lake at night there GMZX200, will give it a try before the HP Limit is in effect, due to my boat having a 200 HP on it....Don't want to break any laws or rules and wind up with a ticket.... It'd be nice catching a wall hanger over 9 pounds.....

RE: Lake Malone Help
Lake Malone is a funny lake. Its hard to develope what you would consider a "pattern" The fish change day to day. A person mentioned earlier fishing deep one day and shallow the next. As far as a topo map theres some old creek channel maps floating around, but other that that thats it. Alot of the bluffs go stright off into 18+ feet of water at the bank. I will back this lake being a jig lake, but I like fishing jigs. I hear people catching on crankbaits and spinnerbaits too. My biggest and best always come from a jig n pig no matter what season. I live 25 min. from the lake and fish it alot. Some days I have good bags others I can't buy a bite. It just takes time and paitence. The horsepower limit is as follows. 150 hp year around, with the exception of labor day to memorial day then your allowed up to a 200 hp engine. There has been alot of boats posted 200 hp + on the water and with due reguard to other people of the water, I've not seen or heard of any tickets being wrote. As close as the banks of the lake is, I've heard its a law I dont know for sure, but if you go past the ski area marker buoys, if you pass a boat that its outboard is not running, you must shut down to avoid beating them to death. Its just common sense on the end of the lake. I do know pretty much with out a shawdow of a dought there is a state record of 2 swimming in this lake. by rummors from KDFW people that do shock studies? I would recommend trying this lake out. Its a pretty lake and nice to get out and just cruise around if you've never seen it. The majority of the lake is deep 10+ feet, but above the bridge and down toward sherwood is the shallower ends. Good Luck and God Bess

Topo Maps
Msgmills,
Sorry, but my last post got removed that addressed your looking for a map. I've got someone sending alerts on my posts if they offend him/her in anyway.
So anyway, here's what I had posted for you on maps, which I might add, the alerted never addressed trying to help you out. I once found a map of Lake Malone, it was in a book of KY maps at Wal Mart. it only showed the shape of the lake, and did not have any topo lines.
Good luck on finding one, and if you do, please let me know as well. While I can't fish the lake now for legal reasons, I have a 225, I may have a smaller motor sometime in the future.
Thanks msgmills.... and sorry the original post got deleted.
Danny
Tight lines and God Bless
Danny
