Went by pro bass shop on 90 this morning and GREG has not heard of an 8 lb smallmouth being caught? When , where and by whom ??????
What is the story was it weighed or guessed !!!!!!!!.Lot of 6- 7 pounders suddenly be come 4-5 lb'ers when actually weighed

Read the other post he said it was weighed!!!! Also said 26 inch length and 21 inch girth, that's a hoss my friend trust me. We will see the picture soon enough I hope, what a fish. And anybody guessing fish two pounds more than they weigh must be newby's.

You know what I find AMAZING is how all the big fish that have been MEASURED to find, (or guess) their weight here recently are ALL EXACTLY on the inch mark; 26 long, 21 girth. Amazing never 25 and 3/8 or 20 and 3/16, ALWAYS dead on the inch mark !!! OK If you are going to use a "formula" AND you want to even get near the actual weight you can't round up ..
AS for people guessing wrong as being newbys just watch a weigh- in a listen to how many people guess smallmouth weights WAY off. I have only seen 2 guys who can guess weights and be accurate within 2-3 ounces on smallmouth and that is because they have weighed HUNDREDS of them in at tournaments. Lots of times they will guess other peoles weight dead on so many times it is scary. Don Smith knows them one of the best small mouth teams on cumberland

I don't have to worry about this, I have good scales and I use them on EVERY really good fish I catch before releasing the fish, I DON'T GUESS. Oh by the way my scales are very accurate they have been crossed checked and I have two different pairs I use to cross reference with each other. I tell ya what, I can guess smallmouth weights extremely close most of the time, I do so before I weigh THEM ON SCALES. Where are you going with all this anyway???
It was 6+!!! 6.8 if my scale was accurate. We've got to go back this spring for sure.
Not going anywhere just wondering how so many big fish are just always 26 inch . Been several here lately and I got slammed for saying I think formulas are WAY off actual weights. OH yea by the way that 26- long 21 girth fish by the FORMULA weighed 13 1/2 pounds NEW WORLD SMALLEY . BUT no one seems to know who caught it or has seen it !!!!!!!! JUST OH I HEARD ????

SO are you the one that caught the 8lb 4 oz smallmouth? that is the fish we are wondering about
