I love my Quantum Energy reels (paid around $170) and my curado d ($200). If you're looking for spinning, I've had 2 of the quantum catalyst pti's for 6 years and still the best ones i've used. spend a little extra money and take care of them. you won't complain.
I have had good luck out of the Shimano Coriolis reels. Cabela's and BPS carry them, but BPS only has them in the stores and not the catalog. $69.99 I believe is the cost. I have three and the oldest is one of when they first came out. Never a problem yet and I don't even clean them as often as I should. And belive it or not, I throw these more than my Curado's.
Personally the only reel to buy for me is a brand. Shimano all the way own everything Shimano and havnt had any problems, and if there is one even after the warrenty is over you can send them back and they will fix em up for a small fee.
Been Reading all the posts and all about the new reels that have come out in 07 and Just a lil while ago I ordered the new Abu Garcia Revo stx. Sounds like it will be a good reel. OH yea also ordered a G-loomis Bronzeback rod to go with it...lol... Sound like a good setup. It better because it sure hurt the ol' wallet.
