I never win any money, but if I did I would say fill the boat up give your partner the entry fee back and split the rest.

i supply the truck and boat, fill them up before we leave then after the trip we fill it back up and split that so he only pays half on what we use and we split the winnings 5050.most of the time he'll pitch an extra $10 anyway..i don't like the i wn the boat you pay more thing ecause i'd have a boat anyway..
bevo i have been fishing tournaments for 25 years fished with guys that have in the past fished B.A.S.S and some that were fishing it at that time and never have i heard of anyone splitting cost and winnings like you hard to believe you find someone to fish with.
Nah jaybyrdie I don't pay those entry fees my sponsors do. The ride along bums that call themselves fishermen are happy with 5% of the take.
Man I would think it would be hard for you to get sponsors, or at least keep them . It sounds like you are a regular horse's A$$. Oh and you didn't say whether you fish alone alot but I bet you do.

Wow!
If I was the O so lucky person to have to fish with you I would take up golf or something else, Like everyone else has said a fishing partner is hard to find. I split everything 50/50 with my buddy. That goes for gas, entry fees and winnings. Heck I'm lucky enough to have a partner that is paying 1/2 his entry fee in an uncoming tornament and he cant even fish it with me.
Let's go fishin

I'm sure ol Bevo is just trying to get a rise ut of you fellows. Me and my partner split everthing 50/50. I pay the fees and he pays for the gas in the boat. I will usually try to throw in extra like snacks for the boat, drinks, ice and so on. After all he is letting me fish with him and that would be the only way I could get out on the lake. Plus if the boat needs any extras like new blacklights or the trolling motor is on the frits and we are lucky enough to win a little money then the winnings will go to that to help him with cost. It's not necessary the money that gets me there, Don't get me wrong I do enjoy it, But it's more of the comradery and the friendships a person builds with the partners he fishes with and the folks he fishes against as well. Let's get a round of applause for Mr. Jeff Byrd of Somerset, KY. He was the first to start the name calling! In between knowing it all Mr. Byrd can be found using the jungle gym at his local playground, riding bikes, and refusing to take baths. All normal activities for a 6 year old.
While I do fish alone regularly it's not due to a lack of unwilling boat mates it's because most folks working the daily grind can't get out and fish 5 days a week like I do. They rarely have a problem eating all those scrumptious bass that I fry up though.
If you see me on the water stop by and say hi. I'm in a 2007 Ranger, black with sponsor decals, with a 225 E-Tec on it.
Don't feed the troll :|
My buddy and myself fish in Fishers of Men. We use my boat and my truck. Gas (truck and boat) is split down the middle as well the entry fee, hotel room etc. He catches big fish, I get half the pot. and Vice versa and the same goes for catching the most weight. The way I see it it is my boat and my truck and I enjoy fishing the tourneys and I also enjoy my boat with my family. I don't think it is his responsibilty to pay for my boat or my truck. I am just grateful to have a good partner that I can trust and not to mention can catch a few ever once in a while. Heck most of the time we never win a nickel but the experiance is 3/4 of the battle. Anyway charge what you want. After all it is your truck and boat, however good partners are hard to come by. Good luck

What division of FOM do you Fish?
I would guess i have in the past dealt with more sponsors than you. and i know boat manufacuars want people in there boat which relates in sales . and they do not want someone on there staff treating people like you do as you are reprecinting there company. if you are spending five days a week on the water and are as good as you say you are why are you not fishing proffesionally?
see there you go feeding the troll
see there you go feeding the troll
Well, I wouldn't say feeding, more like trying to stuff poop back into that horses A$$.
The almighty dollar and arrogance go hand in hand sometimes.
