let me say this fellows,if a man cheats and he can pass my guys test bring him on.you can ask any winners of tnt last year and this year and they will tell you no way you can lie and get away with it.now having said that there are several kinds of ways of breaking the rules, also its hard to catch them if the tournaments don't test them.so keep this in mind when you pick a tournament to fish-are they testing are not, mike cecil
thats way you pay one of the team members before his partner is tested, and then after taken the money if they are caught cheating they have broken the law,and that will hold up in court, mike cecil
Hey TNT,
I don't know the environment you give your polygraph tests, but I have had the opportunity to study the polygraph, and that unless you give the test in a controlled environment, with certain and very limited number of items in the room. I studied this as a result of my managing a grocery stores several years ago. We did this because we used the polygraph to help us with in store thefts.
Finally, it is also proven that sociopaths clearly can pass any polygraph, not to mention those who are just compulsive non-truth tellers. I have a sister, who tells nothing but the truth... honest. The problem is her truth keeps changing. She truly belives what she says is the truth, but it changes everytime she tells something.
All in all, a poly will catch an honest person trying to pass the test who is being dishonest, but the truly dishonest will always be able to pass the test.

Danny my wife has a sister-in-law who is exactly the same way...Every word that comes out of her mouth is the gods truth to her. But to others it's a lie every time, the woman thinks everyone will believe every word she speaks... So I too believe a true liar will pass one easily......
I guess we are all right to a point,we try to do the right thing and run a clean tournament and we have learned over the years alot about people.Old saying locks our made for honest people and thats stands true,MikeCecil

YES THERE ARE THOSE THAT CAN BEAT THE SYSTEM BUT SAYING THAT IT IS AWESOME THAT THERE IS A TOURNAMENT PUT ON LIKE MIKE CECIL DOES FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY AND IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO CATCH A CHEATER THEY WILL SO KUDOS TO MIKE RUNNING A VERY PROFESSIONAL TOURNAMENT!
Absolutely brother it happens all the time. There are people out there that are so **** good at telling lies they can convince themselves of the crap they dish out.
and if the test giver is good he can scare an innocent man into looking guilty as all get out to, one reason it is not allowed in court.
I was out on Taylorsville early today (Friday). I saw a couple of serious fishermen using buoy floats trying to catch fish. It made me wonder, are these guys trying to catch alot of bass in order to tie them up and cheat in the tournament tonight?

So let me understand this if I throw marker buoys in the water I'm preparing to CHEAT. I must be a cheater because my markers are it the ready all the time especially this time of year. And if they found some thing to mark at T-ville they are not cheaters they are pros and I hope somebody can tell me where the spot is.
There are people that will cheat no matter what and you can only do everything you can to control it. As stated before Locks keep honest people honest a Cheater/Thief will find a way. If they get careless they get caught. I know many of the people that fish the tourneys at T-ville and count many of them as Friends. I have not drawn a check on the TNT this year but I continue because I enjoy my Friends. All the tourneys run at T-ville are run by great people I have not fished the Friday nights but I have Friends that do and they comment on how well they are run. And I want to thank them all so Thanks Mike, Larry and the rest.

ya know i snagged a string at herrington 1 nite fishin and it had a 14 or 15 inch largemouth on it. While gettin the fish loose I could tell that someone had this fish on the string to keep and eat and the string got away somehow. Cos it was just hung up in some rock not tied off. I didnt even think of cheaters.
Anyway what bothers me is that probably someone who posted negative issues on here about cheating are the cheaters. I lost a real close friend when i caught him cheating. Never would of thought it with him either.
And like the one gentleman said cos i use buoys to fish with i am cheating. I guess i cheat then cos i will be marking some deep cover for sure. Works real good on Cedar Creek.
Anyway if there is money involved there will be a cheater there to get it. Ya either take it that way or be like me and limit your tourneys to those you feel you can trust. I used to fish 3 tournrys a week now maybe 2 a month and the cheating is why i dont fish as many.

Ive taken a couple and by no means is it a ( scary ) situation. When you work hard for a win and do it honestly what is there to be nervous or scared about?
