Re: Has anyone boated from Louisville past Nashville
I am thinking this fall. Boat is mechanically sound and ready.I have a few electrical issues and I am off. I haven't found any river mileage or fuel piers for the Cumberland River. Will vist the core soon.
I was on Lake Cumberland this weekend and went approx 90 miles used 51 gallons gas. Tank holds 65 gallons.
I need to assure fuel piers are 100 miles
Hey, a word of warning, you'll burn more fuel going against the current...might want to keep this in mind...it's always the simple things that you overlook that will bite you in the rear later :)
Re: Has anyone boated from Louisville past Nashville
The current goes both ways. Cumberland flows towards the Ohio and the Ohio Flows from Louisville to Smithland.
I have a lowrance GPS. River Charts for the Ohio. Just found a list of marinas in Tennessee.
I will begin calling them for hours of operation, river miles, what radio channel they monitor.
From what I read Nashville to Celina is a trip of a lifetime. Looks like the longest way without fuel piers.
