Re: Governor's Race
I am basically a libertarian, but Casino's have several problems, among which are the points you make.. but also:
History shows that they put other businesses OUT of business by draining the available cash from the Econonmy... IE Restaurants, Entertainment, Horse Racing Etc.
History also shows that to make money... someone has to LOSE MONEY.. and in losing money, means taking it out of the economy, and lowering taxes from sales and from jobs.
YES: Casino's creat jobs.
YES: Casino's have a net NEGATIVE effect on jobs overall.
When you **** from the teet of taxes, you end up dependent on taxes and tax revenue goes down with Casino's. This means dependency on not only Casino's but on DEMOCRATS who pass the taxes and run the liberal welfare system.
So far Fletcher has balanced the budget when we had a Billion Dollar deficit looming and did it without more taxes. (Taxes also **** money from the economy without producing jobs.)
While his pardons in the hiring scandal were not good, he did nothing that the Democrats did NOT do for 30 years prior to his coming to office.
IF we elect a Democratic Governor and a Democratic Attorney General we will see the SAME **** THING AGAIN..
Neither deserves our vote, but the devil you know .. is better than the devil you do not..

My views are not those of Fishin.com its owners or advertisers...
I agree with you Jim. On a larger platform if the Heathcare for everyone idea that the Dems are and will continue to stand beside wins then we are all doomed. Free Healthcare? How stupid do they think we are? Nothing is free but the bull from the politicians is free flowing...

Re: Governor's Race
they know there are those of who have medical coverage that will not agree to the health coverage for all,but look how many votes will be generated by those who do not have coverage.I would say many that do not vote will make sure they register and do,especially those with kids. That being said as bad as i hate to say it i have a few family members who abuse the system,
they are able bodied folks who won't work because the govmt pays them well more than minimum wage to stay home and raise fatherless kid, among other things that pisss me off. Also there are many drawing from the ss fund that are just spongeing, the right dr. has no problem cutting and declaring you disable.I wish they'd just put my ss money into my 401.

This Hillary Healthcare thing scares me.The Dems will play on the fears of the Minorities and any group of have nots around. I don't have anything i didn't work for and it bugs the living shite out of me that someone wants to either take it from me or give it to someone else.  Man i pray she fails in her attempt for the nomination.

Re: Governor's Race
One thing you can count on from any politician is that he(or she) will lie to you. They like to say that they are there to serve The People, which is a big lie. The only reason that anyone goes into politics is for themselves. It's all about the hunger for power, and money. I'm so sick of the way that both parties have distorted our system. The worst thing about it is, there's not a **** thing that I can do about it, just sit here and bitch.
